Honeycomb board
Composition: Honeycomb board is a board made of two thinner panels firmly bonded to the two sides of a thicker honeycomb core. The honeycomb core is usually made of a whole core of hexagonal hollow waist (honeycomb) of kraft paper impregnated with synthetic resin (phenolic, polyester, etc.) sandwiched between two boards.
Advantages: light weight, economical, good bending strength.
Disadvantages: not moisture-proof, easy to debond, short durability, and the worst load-bearing capacity compared to other boards.
Common uses: home partitions, large-area desktops, cabinet backs, side panels, open shelves (furniture for placing light items).
Surface processing: veneer (melamine, solid wood veneer, melamine board, etc.).
