Medium Density Fiber, commonly abbreviated MDF
Composition: Dense board is a board made by breaking wood into fiber sawdust and gluing them together. It has a finer texture than plywood. The two sides of the core material are usually covered with melamine.
Advantages: can be carved, easy to shape, economical, environmentally friendly building materials, flat surface suitable for baking paint and carving.
Disadvantages: not moisture-proof, not weight-resistant, easy to deform, poor nail retention, easy to mold.
Common uses: cheap furniture, DIY furniture, system furniture.
Surface processing: baking paint, carving, veneer (melamine, solid wood veneer, melamine board, etc.).
