Market prospects for particleboard

With the increasing demand for particleboard at home and abroad, and the introduction of favorable policies to encourage the development of wood-based panel industry, a good condition has been created for the development of particleboard industry.
From Jan. to Dec. 2006, the total industrial output value of particleboard manufacturing enterprises above the scale in China was 7,072,059 thousand Yuan, which was 26.10% higher than the same period of the previous year; the total sales revenue was 6,666,291 thousand Yuan, which was 24.80% higher than that of the same period of the previous year; and the total profit was 136,464 thousand Yuan, which was 25.30% lower than that of the same period of the previous year.
From January to November, 2007, China's particleboard manufacturing enterprises above designated size achieved a cumulative total industrial output value of 9,643,562 thousand yuan, an increase of 58.17% over the same period of the previous year; achieved a cumulative product sales revenue of 8,937,280 thousand yuan, an increase of 59.41% over the same period of the previous year; achieved a cumulative total profit of 409,659 thousand yuan, an increase of 225.92% over the same period of the previous year. China's particleboard industry develops faster, but there are generally small scale, equipment and technology backwardness, plus many enterprises do not pay attention to product quality, the bark and medium fiberboard production of dust, etc. are used as raw materials for particleboard, so China's production of particleboard generally poorer quality, but also generally formaldehyde serious exceeding the standard problem.
In this situation, the particleboard industry must quickly improve product quality and reduce costs, and actively participate in the market competition, the product market space is still huge. In addition to ensure the supply of raw materials and improve product quality, enterprises should increase scientific and technological innovation, vigorously recycle waste wood, to realize the circular economy. Outlook
Seeking resourceful and inexpensive adhesives is an important factor in the development of particleboard production, so the effective utilization of forest resources and paper pulping waste liquid has received more and more attention. Tannin formaldehyde glue and sulfite pulp waste liquid glue used as adhesive has been successful, cement, gypsum and other inorganic adhesive has also been applied; and more attractive is the new technology of non-glue adhesive bonding, its emergence will make the particleboard industry a fundamental change. As for the particleboard itself, due to the directional structure in the mechanical properties of the structure is significantly better than the random structure, can be used to replace the plywood and even part of the sawn plate, so there is a great future for development. Particleboard surface decorative processing will also appear more new materials and new techniques, and it is possible to form an independent emerging industrial category through the specialization of multi-functional finishing materials prefabrication.
