Slide classification

Roller type
This type of slide has been around for a long time and is the first generation of silent drawer slides. Since 2005, it has been slowly replaced by ball bearing slides on new generation furniture. The roller slide has a simpler structure, consisting of a pulley and two tracks. It can cope with daily push and pull needs, but has poor load-bearing capacity and does not have buffering and rebound functions. It is often used on computer keyboard drawers and light drawers.

Ball bearing type

Ball bearing slides are basically two-section or three-section metal slides. The most common structure is installed on the side of the drawer. It is relatively simple to install and saves space. Good quality ball bearing slides can ensure smooth push and pull, large load-bearing capacity, and this type of slide can have buffer closing or press rebound opening functions. In modern furniture, ball bearing slides are gradually replacing roller type slides and becoming the main force of modern furniture slides.

Gear type

This type of slide includes hidden slides, horse drawer slides and other slide types. It belongs to the mid-to-high-end slides. The use of gear structure makes the slides very smooth and synchronized. This type of slide also has the function of buffer closing or pressing rebound opening. It is mostly used in mid-to-high-end furniture. Because of its high price, it is also relatively rare in modern furniture, so it is not as popular as the steel ball slide. This type of slide is the trend of the future.
