01. Hitting the plate
If the cutting unit of the edge banding machine hits the plate, it should be checked whether there are steps in the cutting plate and whether the cutter is normal: if the cutter is not normal, it is necessary to check whether the air pressure is stable; if the cutter is normal, the plate should be turned over and then processed.
02. Scraper
When the height of the plate is inconsistent with the height of the pressure beam set by the edge banding machine, the edge banding is prone to scraping.
When there is a scraper problem, first check whether the plate is swollen, and then check whether the scraping unit is working normally. If the plate and the processing components are in normal condition, check whether there are adhesive blocks attached to the slider and pressure wheel, and clean them in time. If there is no problem, see whether the cutter (scraper and flat blade) is loose and whether the cutter position is adjusted in place.
03. Uneven
The reason for the uneven head may be the length of the broken edge banding strip, resulting in gaps and glue hiding in the edge banding strip, or the sawing unit is unstable and the sawing unit is broken, uneven, and protruding.
In view of the phenomenon of uneven heads, it is necessary to confirm whether there is a problem with the front saw or the back saw, whether it is cut to the plate or the edge strip has a large margin. Once the cause is found, the sawing unit can be adjusted accordingly.
04. Drop the corner
If there is no problem with the original plate, check the processing process to determine the location of the corner problem, generally the tracking unit and the scraper unit are prone to corner loss: it may be that the plate is uneven or the tracking knife is edged.
05. Poor edge banding
There are two main possibilities for poor edge banding, one is poor glue supply, resulting in the edge strip not being glued. In this case, the edge banding strip of the first plate can be disassembled to check whether there is glue on the plate, and the other situation is that the glue dispensing unit is poorly dispensed, resulting in the edge banding strip opening or not gluing. This can be greatly avoided by checking the spray port and cleaning up the blockage before starting the machine.
In addition, the presence of sawdust between the edge banding strip and the plate is also a factor in the poor edge banding.
06. Running side
The edge banding strip does not match the height of the plate or the edge banding strip is not compressed, which may lead to the edge banding defects of the running edge, and it is necessary to check whether the size of the edge banding strip is matched, whether the edge strip pulley is normal, and whether the edge strip is stuck.
07. Burst edges
If there is a plate burst, one should check whether the original plate has the problem of bursting, and the other should test whether the milling cutter will cause the burst.
