HOT MELT

It is a kind of plasticity adhesive, in a certain temperature range, its physical state changes with the temperature change, but the chemical properties remain unchanged, it is non-toxic and odourless, is an environmentally friendly chemical products. The product itself is solid, easy to pack, transport, storage, solvent-free, non-polluting, non-toxic; and production process is simple, high value-added, adhesive strength, speed and other advantages and is highly favoured.

EVA hot melt adhesive is a solvent-free, moisture-free 100% solid fusible polymers; it is solid at room temperature, heated to a certain temperature melt into a liquid that can flow, and have a certain viscosity. After melting EVA hot melt adhesive, light brown or white, EVA hot melt adhesive by the basic resin, tackifier, viscosity regulator and antioxidant and other components.

The basic resin of hot melt adhesive is copolymerisation of ethylene and vinyl acetate under high temperature and pressure, i.e. EVA resin. This resin is the main component of the production of hot melt adhesive, the proportion of the basic resin, the quality of the hot melt adhesive determines the basic performance, (such as adhesive bonding capacity, melting temperature and bonding strength) generally choose the VA content of 18-33, the melting index (MI) 6-800, VA content is low, the higher the hardness of the higher hardness, the same situation VA content is large, the low degree of crystallinity of elasticity increased, the selection of the EVA melting finger is also important, the smaller the melting index liquidity increase. The choice of EVA melting finger is also very important, the smaller the melting finger is, the poorer the fluidity, the higher the strength, the higher the melting temperature, the poorer the wetting and penetration of the adhesive. On the contrary, the melting finger is too big, the melting temperature of the glue is low, the mobility is good but the bonding strength is reduced. The choice of additives, should choose the appropriate ratio of ethylene and vinyl acetate.

Tackifier

Tackifier is one of the main additives of EVA hot melt adhesive. If only * with the basic resin melting at a certain temperature with the bonding force, when the temperature drops, it is difficult to wet the paper and penetration, the loss of bonding capacity, can not achieve the bonding effect; add tackifier can improve the fluidity of the gel and the wettability of the sticky material to improve the bonding properties, to achieve the desired bonding strength. Generally, there are rosin, modified rosin (138 or 145), C5 petroleum resin, C9 petroleum resin, terpene resin and so on.
Viscosity Modifiers

Viscosity regulator is also one of the main additives for hot melt adhesives. Its role is to increase the fluidity of the colloid, regulate the speed of solidification, in order to achieve the purpose of rapid bonding firm, otherwise the viscosity of the hot melt adhesive is too large, unable to or not easy to flow, it is difficult to penetrate into the book post, it will not be able to bond it firmly. Add a low softening point viscosity regulator, you can achieve the purpose of bonding good penetration, stick firmly. Generally choose paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax. Synthetic wax (PE or PP), Foto wax and so on.
Antioxidant

Adding an appropriate amount of antioxidant is to prevent the premature aging of EVA hot melt adhesive. Because the gel will be oxidised and decomposed when melting at high temperature, adding antioxidant can ensure that the bonding performance will not change under high temperature conditions.

In addition to the above raw materials can also be based on the temperature, regional differences with some cold temperatures suitable for cold temperatures or suitable for tropical temperatures of the anti-heat agent.
